No sealer, topical or penetrating, can prevent etching and staining of softer calcium based stones like marble, onyx, and travertine. This is because of the very nature of the stone and a chemical reaction it has to anything acidic. This includes oranges, lemons, grapefruit both fruit and fruit juices, red and white wines, sodas, tomatoes, and a host of other foods and drinks.

Tuff Skin works by being a layer to high tech polyester the liquids cannot penetrate.  If these acids can’t touch the stone they can’t ruin the stone. No etch marks of glass ring stains ever again.  Tuff Skin is gas permeable so stone can breathe naturally.  It’s unique adhesive and hard coat round out a  combination of technologies that make Tuff Skin a great choice for maintaining all exotic stone surfaces.
